Lantana, London

Lantana (cafe)

So, Lantana. Well, similar to the other great Australian/Kiwi cafe's in London (Milk Bar and Flat White), Lantana is a smaller size place with a really relaxed feel and a not-overdone style of decor. It actually reminded me of The Gunshop Cafe in West End, Brisbane, Australia. When we turned up, there was the line-up winding back out the door and the place was packed.

Hey, if you wanna try somewhere new, you give it a bit of time and patience. Well, it didn't take too long to be seated and Mark and I had the usual browse of the menu list - as you do. Given we weren't not too hungry, we didn't go for something too big. The stewed fruit, with yoghurt and pistachio was really good. It was warm, and really hearty. For the price, you just can't go past it.

The coffee was good, didn't need any coffee as the milk was done, in my humble opinion, just right. What else can you say? It was easy to get to, it had a vibrant atmosphere and wasn't over done. The staff were a little nonchalant, but well, it was damn busy. So all in all, worth the trip and a return visit. Plus the menu was not overly pricey, so you can enjoy some good food without breaking your budget.
